HO Brass - MTS Baltimore & Ohio P-7a 4-6-2 "The Royal Blue"
This Royal Blue was the Baltimore & Ohio's premier passenger train between New York City and Washington D.C. Otto Kuhler designed the locomotive and the train and became one of the most famous streamliners of the era. American Flyer made models for years based on the P-7a.
While the model is in overall excellent shape, there are a few small issues buyers should be aware of. Firstly, one of the passenger air hoses on the front pilot is missing. secondly, one of the wires on the engine to tender connector has come loose. This only affects the lighting in the tender. Finally, it appears to be missing the windshields. Thankfully, these parts can be easily fixed. One stanchion on the engineer's side also appears to have been fixed at one time.
- The model runs very smoothly
- Original Box and Foam are in good shape.
- A removable coal load has been made to fit this model
- It does not appear to have a lot of wheel wear.
Please look at the photos fully and carefully. This model has been priced with the knowledge of the issues in mind. Feel free to make an offer.
