Model Overview:

A stunning museum-quality brass model of the famous Pennsylvania Railroad experimental electric locomotive. Produced by Eisenbahn Canada, this highly detailed HO scale model features more than 1,250 individual parts and accurately captures the massive PRR Class FF1 “Big Liz.”

Built in 1917 at the PRR Juniata Shops, the prototype FF1 was a powerful experimental electric designed for heavy freight service over the Allegheny Mountains. Rated at 4,000 horsepower with 140,000 lbs of starting tractive effort, the locomotive quickly earned its nickname thanks to its immense power and unique 2-C+C-2 wheel arrangement.

This precision brass model faithfully follows prototype drawings and photographs, featuring excellent rivet detail, full underframe piping, finely applied handrails and ladders, and beautifully constructed metal pantographs. The locomotive includes illuminated headlights, number boards, and marker lights along with detailed cab and equipment interiors.

Powered by dual Swiss-made Escap can motors, the mechanism is extremely smooth and quiet with excellent slow-speed operation and strong pulling power.
