Challenger Imports, Ltd. (1990-2005) has imported from Samhongsa of Korea (1971-2005) some of the finest HO scale Brass model trains ever produced. Another web site, , a discussion board, shows comments from 2005 about Challenger. Challenger insisted on accuracy and quality, having on occasion sent an entire production back to Korea for corrections, rather than pass it on to the customer.I am offering this rare (1 of only 94 made) HO scale brass Challenger Imports Ltd. (CIL) Southwind Passenger Train set #2461.1S consisting of a streamlined 4-6-2 K-4s Pennsylvania Railroad steam locomotive #2665 along with 7 passenger cars with interiors. All are factory painted and made by Samhongsa in 2003.I obtained this beautiful 2 box set (boxes marked A-1 and A-2) from a Collector Estate. The items are said to have never been removed from the boxes -- looks like it, too. The boxes are in Like New. Otherwise, this set is new stock from a dealer collection!
